After an 11-year career in telecommunications infrastructure in roles ranging from systems engineer in Bell Labs to Customer Business Manager for Lucent to Program Manager for a startup called UTStarcom, I decided it was time to do something that I was not only good at, but also had a passion for. As the proud father of four, I decided to search out opportunities to combine my passion for teaching children with my expertise in technology. Children’s Technology Workshop seemed to be the perfect fit. I loved the concept from day one, but was sold on the business the day I visited the head office while icamp was in session. An eight-year old explained to me how the pneumatic pump on his robotic arm worked in order to extract artifacts from a tomb in Egypt. It was brilliant and I went home, wrote the check to buy the franchise, and have been loving what I do every day since.
